So long that the Diamond antenna can support 2m/70cm freq then, your IC-2820 can work well..

That antenna is the one that i'm using in my car now, work well on 2m and also 70cm with my 8900!

That unit is a good choice! Big Display! it would be my next unit!

Plan to get Yaesu FT-8900R Quad Band and Diamond CR8900 antenna got any ham got the mobile ? any comment ? 9W2KDX... I have this CR8900 antenna with me and I not using it anymore, Right now I'm using a V/U antenna to connect to my FT-8900 mobile unit for my V/U QSO. 9W6VX saying is right... FM mode...

Is a new device and no one has able to convert it to US or Local version.

further if you want to have 3D building, Junction view you should have brought the proper unit that able to support it.
